This neighborhood non-profit housing development corporation purchased and renovated vacant homes for resale at cost.  As Director, I found the homes, evaluated their condition, negotiated their purchase, designed renovations, wrote specs, bid the work, supervised construction, and marketed properties 


Housing and Rehabilitation Specialist - York County Planning Commission - 5/80 - 9/81  

Community Development Block Grant Program - Inspected homes and completed work specs to bring them up to HUD's minimum property standards completed estimates to determine if work could be completed within property guidelines - bid the jobs - supervised work and certified completion


Owner and Director - The Real Estate Institute of Pennsylvania - 1985 - 1988

This school was Pennsylvania's first private licensed real estate school – Duties included course development, marketing the school, developing brochures, scheduling courses, administrative duties, transcripts -- Instructor for courses in Real Estate Fundamentals and Practice, Appraisal and Construction



2014-15  designed and built new home in Bella Vista using rainwater catchment

1988 - 2010 design and construction of off-grid, green and natural buildings in 4 states – including the first Earthcraft Certified House in the State of Virginia – done as a fundraiser for Yestermorrow  Design/Build School – profit $19849 

1982 - 1987 - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania - designed and totally renovated 6 properties, most in historic districts - including a former sheet metal warehouse that was converted into two unique townhouses 

1978 - 1982 Completed four total gut rehabs of properties located in the Ridgely's Delight section of Baltimore – one had been a bank – one a carriage house
